Something smells yummy......

It's that time of year again...time to get the big bird ready in celebration of one of our favorite holidays. And why is it a favorite? It involves a great deal of FOOD.......

And it should not go without saying that, at this special time of year, we honor one of the lesser known, but nonetheless, very important  4-pawed passengers aboard the Mayflower,  Sir Miles Pugish.   Sir Pugish is indeed one of Genevieve's own forefathers who fled the oppression of the English in 1620.   Feeling the journey to an unknown land, with no certain availability of Iams kibble,  Greenie Lite, or other special dog treats, he made the difficult decision to leave a part of the family in England.   The rest of the story is for another time, but on this holiday, we take time to remember this brave pug.

Wow, Pus on the Mayflower! My mom says she did a genealogy thing once & had actual relitives on the Mayflower! Maybe they knew Sir Miles?!? My ancestors, on the other hand, were stuck in France until the 1900s!!
