I remember all to well my recent nightmare at the emergency vets and I cannot stop thinking about it. So many people rush to the hospital only to find out their pet will be refused critical treatment unless they can pay right now. I had a friend willing to put down a credit card for the ten grand it took to keep walter alive...but what if I didn't? shouldn't there be a fund somewhere for people who love their pets but don't have cash? This is what I have been chewing on. If anyone has any ideas or knows of such a thing, please let me know!
I hear Mr. Butler has a girlfriend...bit it's just a rumor. On a serious note, I agree that faced with that kind of vet bill, I would not be able to keep my pet alive. Grass-roots efforts by local Pug Rescue groups only fill some of the gap. (check out helpbella at wordpress dot com) That's why Wally needs to write a book about his experiences and go on tour.
